About Shaun Creasey
Shaun Creasey PGA Advanced Golf Professional
I started my career aged 19 working under Ian Connelly at Dale Hill Golf Club, one of Ians star pupils was Nick Faldo. Ian taught me about the golf swing. I have been fortunate to meet, work with and learn from some of the best coaches in golf including Butch Harmon, all of whom taught me many things, developing my coaching skills amongst many top and up and coming pro and amateur golfers.
Since turning professional 24 years ago I have gained a wealth of experience as a teaching professional which is ongoing.
I played on the ‘Europro Tour’ gaining experience as a playing professional and in 2004 I was awarded ‘PGA south region Professional Golfer of the year’. In 2010 I achieved status of PGA Advanced Golf Professional.
Regular attendance at PGA seminars, regional meetings and correspondance courses to keep me up to date with CPD and the latest teaching methods. I teach golfers of all abilities from young professional players, juniors, ladies, men and beginners.
I run the ‘Get into Golf’ courses (GIG) at Cooden Beach Golf Club aimed at beginners. I also facilitate the Golf Foundations ‘Grassroots’ junior golf centre at Cooden, aimed at encouraging juniors to the game of golf via the junior passport programme.
I run inclusive coaching sessions on Wednesday mornings, 11am until 12 noon.
I have been part of the Sussex County Junior Coaching Programme for the past 7 years, which continues to grow.
I currently coach at 6 schools a week, delivering inspiration, skills challenges, and fun competitions, to ages from year 3 up to year 8.
